At MonkeyTrade, authentic trader experiences form the foundation of our platform. This policy explains how our review system works, the difference between verified and unverified reviews, and the standards all reviewers must follow.

Our Review Philosophy

MonkeyTrade believes in the power of real trader experiences. Reviews help our community make informed decisions based on genuine experiences from traders who have used the platforms we cover.

Dual-Purpose System: We balance accessibility with authenticity by accepting both unverified and verified reviews, each serving a different purpose in our ecosystem.

Review Categories

Unverified Reviews

Unverified reviews can be submitted without documentation proving platform usage. These reviews:

  • Increase overall feedback volume and provide broader perspective
  • Are clearly labeled as "Unverified" throughout the platform
  • Contribute reduced weight to overall platform scores
  • Do not earn reward credits or incentives
  • Must still comply with our community guidelines and standards

When to Submit Unverified: If you've used a platform but don't have documentation readily available, or if you want to share feedback quickly without going through the verification process.

Verified Reviews

Verified reviews require proof of actual platform usage through documentation upload. These reviews:

  • Carry full weight in platform scoring and ratings
  • Are labeled with a "Verified" badge
  • Earn reward credits that can be redeemed for benefits
  • Are given greater prominence in platform pages

When to Submit Verified: When you have documentation proving platform usage and want your review to carry maximum impact and earn rewards.

Verification Process

Acceptable Proof of Usage

To verify your review, you must upload documentation that demonstrates actual platform usage. Acceptable documents include:

For Brokers and Exchanges:

  • Account statements showing your account number and platform name
  • Trading history or transaction records
  • Deposit or withdrawal confirmations
  • Account dashboard screenshots showing your username and platform branding
  • Email correspondence from the platform (welcome emails, transaction notifications)

For Proprietary Trading Firms:

  • Challenge purchase receipts or confirmations
  • Challenge dashboard screenshots
  • Evaluation account statements
  • Payout confirmations or funded account notices
  • Certificate of completion or evaluation results

For Other Platforms:

  • Account verification emails
  • Subscription or payment receipts
  • Platform dashboard screenshots with identifying information
  • Service usage records or reports

Privacy Protection

We take your privacy seriously. When submitting verification documents:

  • Redact sensitive information: Block out account balances, personal addresses, phone numbers, identification numbers, and any other sensitive data
  • Keep identifying markers: Ensure platform name, your username or account number, and dates remain visible
  • Secure handling: All uploaded documents are encrypted and accessible only to our verification team
  • No public display: Verification documents are never displayed publicly or shared with third parties
  • Automatic deletion: Documents are permanently deleted after verification is complete or denied

Verification Review Timeline

Standard Processing: Most verification requests are reviewed within 48-72 hours of submission.

Notification: You'll receive an email notification when your review has been verified or if additional documentation is needed.

Resubmission: If verification is denied due to insufficient documentation, you'll receive specific guidance on what's needed and can resubmit.

Upgrading Unverified to Verified

Already submitted an unverified review? You can upgrade it at any time, by sending us an email at support@monkeytrade.com with the following:

  • Mention the review you want to edit
  • Attach the required documentation

Once verified, your review will automatically receive full scoring weight and you'll earn applicable reward credits retroactively.

Review Content Standards

All reviews, whether verified or unverified, must adhere to the following standards:

Required Elements

  • Personal Experience: Reviews must be based on your actual experience using the platform
  • Specific Details: Include concrete examples, timeframes, and specific features or issues
  • Balanced Perspective: Acknowledge both positives and negatives where applicable
  • Clear Communication: Write in clear language that other traders can understand
  • Relevance: Focus on aspects that matter to other potential users

Prohibited Content

Reviews may not contain:

  • False Information: Deliberately misleading or fabricated claims
  • Spam or Promotional Content: Marketing copy, referral links, or promotional material
  • Personal Attacks: Insults, threats, or harassment directed at platform staff or other users
  • Profanity and Vulgarity: Excessive profanity or offensive language
  • Discriminatory Content: Hate speech, discrimination, or prejudice based on race, religion, gender, nationality, or other protected characteristics
  • Confidential Information: Trade secrets, proprietary strategies, or confidential platform information
  • Legal Violations: Defamatory statements, copyright infringement, or content that violates applicable laws
  • Duplicate Reviews: Multiple reviews of the same platform from the same account
  • Competitor Content: Reviews written by platform competitors to damage reputation
  • Incentivized Content: Reviews submitted in exchange for payment or benefits from platforms

Review Moderation

Pre-Publication Review: All submitted reviews undergo automated and manual screening before publication to ensure compliance with our standards.

Ongoing Monitoring: Published reviews are subject to ongoing monitoring and may be removed if found to violate our policies.

User Reports: Community members can report reviews that appear to violate our standards. All reports are investigated by our moderation team.

Moderation Actions: Depending on the violation severity, we may:

  • Request revisions before publishing
  • Remove specific content while preserving the rest of the review
  • Remove the entire review
  • Suspend or terminate accounts for severe or repeated violations

Platform Response Rights

Platforms reviewed on MonkeyTrade have the right to:

  • Report reviews that violate our policies
  • Provide context or additional information

Platform Response Standards: Platform responses must be professional, factual, and constructive. Responses that are abusive, threatening, or misleading will be removed.

Review Rewards Program

Earning Credits: Verified reviews earn reward credits that can be redeemed for:

  • Premium platform features and tools
  • Extended access to comparison calculators
  • Exclusive educational content and resources
  • Entry into periodic prize drawings
  • Other benefits as announced

Credit Structure: Credit amounts vary based on:

  • Review length and detail
  • Verification status (verified reviews only)

Reward Terms: Full terms and conditions of the rewards program are available in your account dashboard. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred.

Review Authenticity Measures

To maintain review integrity, MonkeyTrade implements multiple safeguards:

One Review Per Platform: Users may submit only one review per platform. You can update your existing review if your experience changes.

Duplicate Detection: Automated systems flag potential duplicate content across reviews.

Verification Audits: We periodically audit verified reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with verification standards.

Platform Confirmation: For high-value verified reviews, we may contact the platform to confirm account existence (without sharing review content or reviewer identity).

Updating and Editing Reviews

Review Updates: You may update your review at any time to reflect changes in your experience or platform improvements/deteriorations by sending us an email and with the changes you want to apply.

Edit Limitations: Substantial edits to verified reviews may require re-verification to ensure continued accuracy.

Edit History: Significant changes to reviews are tracked and may be displayed to maintain transparency.

Review Removal Requests

User-Initiated Removal: You may request deletion of your review at any time by sending an email to reviews@monkeytrade.com. Removal is typically processed within 48 hours.

Platform Dispute Process: If a platform believes a review contains false information, they may submit a formal dispute with supporting evidence. Our editorial team will investigate and make a final determination.

Legal Requests: Reviews may be removed in response to valid legal orders or requests demonstrating clear legal violations.

Preservation Rights: MonkeyTrade reserves the right to preserve review data for legal, safety, or research purposes even after public removal.

Review Ownership and Licensing

Your Rights: You retain ownership of your review content.

License to MonkeyTrade: By submitting a review, you grant MonkeyTrade a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Display your review on our platform and affiliated properties
  • Include your review in aggregated statistics and analysis
  • Use excerpts in marketing materials and social media
  • Translate your review for international platform versions
  • Format and present your review for optimal user experience

Attribution: Your reviews are displayed with your chosen username. You may use a pseudonym if you prefer not to use your real name.

Reputation and Trust Scores

Reviewer Trust Score: Active reviewers build trust scores based on:

  • Helpful votes received from other users
  • Review quality and detail level
  • Account longevity and activity
  • Verification rate (verified vs. unverified submissions)

Benefits of High Trust Scores:

Community Guidelines

Constructive Feedback: Frame criticism constructively. Instead of "This platform is garbage," try "I experienced significant slippage during volatile periods, which impacted my trading performance."

Specific Examples: Support your claims with specific examples. "Withdrawals took 2 weeks" is more helpful than "Withdrawals are slow."

Fair Comparison: If comparing platforms, ensure comparisons are relevant and fair.

Timely Reviews: Submit reviews while your experience is recent and memory is fresh. Reviews of experiences older than 2 years may be flagged as potentially outdated.

Respectful Discourse: Engage respectfully with platform responses and other community members.

Appeals Process

If your review is rejected, edited, or removed, you may appeal the decision:

  2. Review Period: Appeals are reviewed within 5-7 business days
  3. Decision: You'll receive a detailed explanation of the final decision

Policy Updates

This Traders Verified Review Policy may be updated periodically to reflect evolving best practices, legal requirements, or platform improvements. Significant changes will be communicated via email to active reviewers.

Grandfathering: Existing verified reviews remain verified unless found to violate updated standards. You will not be required to re-verify reviews due to policy changes alone.
