Our verdict

FundingPips is a simulated-trading evaluation firm offering one-step, two-step and direct-access programmes with cash rewards tied to contractual performance rules. The payout methods and cycles are varied, the help centre is detailed, and the firm has published a clear separation between its legacy rulesets and the current ones. For a beginner weighing options, the catalogue breadth and the documented news policy stand out, provided prices and current rules are verified at the firm's own checkout before purchase.

What you need to know about FundingPips

This FundingPips review gives a beginner comparing prop firms a plain read on the rules, the rewards and the catches. FundingPips is a proprietary trading evaluation firm based in Dubai, founded in November 2022, running simulated-trading evaluations across one-step, two-step and direct-access formats. FundingPips Corp carries a Comoros-disclosed International Brokerage and Clearing House licence (Bfx2024004), which is a self-disclosure by the firm rather than retail brokerage authorisation.

The current programme lineup, as documented in the FundingPips help centre, is:

  • 1 Step Flex: a one-phase evaluation with a 12% profit target, 3% daily loss and 12% static overall loss, with no minimum evaluation days
  • 2 Step Standard: two phases with 8% and 5% targets, 5% daily loss, 10% static overall loss and a three-day minimum per phase
  • 2 Step Pro: two phases with 6% and 6% targets, 3% daily loss, 6% static overall loss and a two-day minimum per phase on applicable new accounts
  • 2 Step Flex: two phases with a 10% and 8% target structure on the model-specific page, 4% daily loss, 12% static overall loss, and a choice of 80% or 95% bi-weekly reward splits
  • FundingPips Zero: a direct-access programme with no evaluation, 3% daily loss and 5% trailing overall loss, with a 95% bi-weekly reward option
  • Master Account: the funded simulated stage every evaluation feeds into, with programme-specific reward cycles and its own news, inactivity and consistency rules

The help centre separates each programme's current rules from the earlier rule versions some existing accounts still trade under. Imagine, for instance, that a 2 Step Pro account was purchased before the latest revision: it may keep a one-day minimum per phase, whereas a newly opened 2 Step Pro account would carry the two-day minimum. Prime is advertised as a scaled pathway towards a $2,000,000 simulated allocation; the eligibility criteria and multiplier terms sit in the firm's own documentation and should be read before any plan treats a Prime seat as a given.

Two points are worth understanding before you buy, and both have been pulled into bullets below for clarity:

  • Programme fees are described as service fees in the firm's own terms, so they are generally non-refundable except where consumer law requires otherwise.
  • The rules you trade under shift once you reach the Master Account stage, with news policy, inactivity, consistency and reward cycle all behaving differently from the evaluation. Price your plan around the Master Account rules, since that is where the money is earned.

FundingPips runs a simulated-trading evaluation rather than a brokerage. FundingPips Corp is disclosed as a Comoros-incorporated entity with International Brokerage and Clearing House licence Bfx2024004, which stands as the firm's own disclosure rather than authorisation to provide retail brokerage services in any jurisdiction we could verify. UK readers used to FCA leverage caps on live retail accounts should treat this as a different legal frame.

Account Options and Pricing Structure

FundingPips sells five current programme families, each with its own evaluation shape and its own reward structure on the Master Account:

  • 1 Step Flex: a single-phase evaluation with a 12% profit target, a 3% daily loss limit and a 12% static overall loss. Master Account rewards are advertised at 85% bi-weekly or 100% monthly, with no minimum evaluation days.
  • 2 Step Standard: a two-phase evaluation with 8% and 5% targets, a 5% daily loss limit, a 10% static overall loss and three minimum trading days per phase. Reward cycles are documented at 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on-demand and 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Pro: a two-phase evaluation with 6% targets in each phase, a 3% daily loss limit and a 6% static overall loss. New and reset accounts carry a two-minimum-day rule per phase, while some existing accounts keep the earlier one-day rule. Reward cycles are 80% weekly or 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Flex: a two-phase evaluation with a 4% daily loss and a 12% static overall loss. The model-specific help-centre page shows a 10% / 8% target structure, while the general comparison page shows 10% / 6%; verify the target at live checkout. The reward split is 80% or 95% bi-weekly depending on the qualifying day structure (one profitable day per phase for the 80% option, three profitable days per phase for the 95% option), with a 100% monthly option alongside.

  • FundingPips Zero: a direct-access programme with no evaluation, a 3% daily loss limit and a 5% trailing overall loss. The published reward option is 95% bi-weekly.
  • Master Account: the funded simulated stage every evaluation feeds into. The cycle a trader can select depends on the programme family: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on-demand, 85% bi-weekly, 95% bi-weekly or 100% monthly are each documented on the programme that offers them.

Prime is advertised as a scaled pathway towards a $2,000,000 simulated allocation. Eligibility, invitation criteria and the multiplier terms are set in the firm's own documentation, and the Master Account closes once a Prime Account opens on the published pathway. Read the Prime terms carefully before you count a Prime seat as part of your plan.

Let's take the 2 Step Pro price ladder as reference. The entry point starts at $29 for the smallest 2 Step Pro account and runs up to $798 for the $200,000 account; the ladder is reproduced below. Other programmes' prices are set at live checkout and vary by account size, programme family and any live promotion. Programme fees are described as service fees in the firm's own terms, which means they are generally non-refundable except where consumer law requires. Verify the current price for the programme and account size you want at live checkout before buying.

Account sizes range from $5,000 to $200,000, although not every size is available on every programme. At the time of verification the help centre also documented a 20% first-purchase coupon (HELLO) that excludes $100K accounts. Promotional terms change, so treat the coupon as the offer verified at that time rather than as a permanent discount.

Challenge Structure and Trading Rules

Evaluation shape follows the programme you choose, and the five current families diverge in how the qualifying stage is laid out:

  • 1 Step Flex compresses qualifying into a single phase with a 12% target, a 3% daily loss limit and a 12% static overall loss.
  • 2 Step Standard spreads qualifying across two phases with 8% and 5% targets inside a 5% daily loss and a 10% static overall loss.
  • 2 Step Pro tightens the loss envelope to a 3% daily loss and a 6% static overall loss, matched to 6% targets in each phase.
  • 2 Step Flex sits at a 4% daily loss and a 12% static overall loss, with a 10% / 8% target structure on the model-specific page and a 10% / 6% structure on the general comparison page, so the applied target should be confirmed at live checkout.
  • FundingPips Zero skips the evaluation entirely and runs on a 3% daily loss with a 5% trailing overall loss.

Once a trader passes, the Master Account stage carries its own rulebook, and that funded stage is where many traders find themselves caught out when they planned around the evaluation terms alone.

The news policy is set per stage and per programme, and reads differently from the one-line claim circulated in older write-ups:

  • During the evaluation, there are no news-trading restrictions, but deliberately exploiting a high-impact news event ("purposeful news trading") is prohibited at every stage
  • On the Master Account, profits from trades opened or closed inside the restricted window around a high-impact news event may be deducted on eligible programmes; the restricted window is five minutes before to five minutes after the event, with a documented five-hour exception for trades opened earlier
  • On FundingPips Zero, the news windows are stricter and weekend holds are prohibited outright
  • Across all stages, treat any single-figure news-window claim as programme-specific until confirmed in the help centre for the programme you buy

Two Master Account rules repay close reading before any plan is finalised. Accounts inactive for 30 or more days can be terminated under the inactivity rule even when no trade has yet been placed, so a Master Account can be breached without a single completed trade if it sits unused for long enough. Consistency rules also apply on the on-demand reward cycle on eligible programmes, meaning a single trading day cannot dominate the profit tally for that reward request, with the exact threshold set in the programme's rulebook. Both rules are easy to miss when reading the evaluation terms alone.

The matrix above lists every current programme's phase targets, daily loss limit, overall loss type and minimum evaluation days as documented on the official Compare Account Models page. One caveat is worth repeating: the 2 Step Flex target shown on the general comparison page (10% / 6%) differs from the target shown on the model-specific 2 Step Flex page (10% / 8%). Verify the applied target at live checkout and against the model page for the account you plan to buy.

Prohibited strategies are documented more clearly:

  • High-frequency trading (HFT)
  • Latency arbitrage
  • Tick scalping
  • Gap trading strategies
  • Toxic order flow
  • Server spamming
  • Expert Advisors used purely for execution speed or arbitrage (EAs are allowed only for trade and risk management)

A couple of further Master Account rules bear repeating because they tend to catch out traders who priced only the evaluation. The inactivity rule can breach an unused Master Account after 30 days, and the news-window deduction on eligible programmes means Master Account profits earned around high-impact releases may be stripped from the next reward. Building a minimum-activity routine and planning trade timing around the published news windows for the chosen programme should both sit in the plan from day one.

Trading Environment and Conditions

FundingPips supports three trading platforms across its current programme lineup:

  • MetaTrader 5 (MT5)
  • cTrader
  • Match-Trader

The supported lineup does not include MT4, which is worth knowing if an existing setup, Expert Advisors or indicators are MT4-only. The FundingPips Trade Copier works across the three supported platforms, so a strategy that runs on MT5 can mirror to cTrader or Match-Trader within the firm's own tooling.

The current Get Started page documents 41 tradable instruments across five asset classes:

  • 28 forex pairs
  • 2 metals
  • 7 indices
  • 2 energies
  • 2 cryptocurrencies

Published standard leverage is 1:100 forex on the four evaluation models (1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Pro and 2 Step Flex) and 1:50 forex on FundingPips Zero. The Zero model-specific page also documents 1:10 metals, 1:10 energies, 1:10 indices and 1:2 cryptocurrency leverage for standard accounts, with lower leverage on some swap-free instruments. Account sizes available range from $5,000 to $200,000, with not every size offered on every programme.

Evaluation conditions and Master Account conditions are set separately. The Master Account adds the news-window deduction on eligible programmes, the 30-day inactivity rule and the consistency rule on the on-demand cycle. Any plan built on evaluation rules alone will underweight the risks waiting at the funded stage.

A short compliance note is in order for UK readers: FundingPips is a simulated prop evaluation and sits outside FCA retail conduct rules, so the UK retail leverage caps on live broker accounts do not apply here. For reference, those caps include:

  • 1:30 on major forex
  • 1:20 on indices
  • 1:5 on equities
  • A retail ban on CFDs on crypto

The leverage shown by FundingPips is attached to a simulated-account programme rather than a live retail product, which is worth weighing against the risk frame a UK trader is used to.

Commissions are published on each model page and reproduced below. In outline, the current schedule is:

  • Standard models: a flat $5 per lot on forex and metals, no commission on energies or indices, and a 0.04% commission on cryptocurrency.
  • Zero model: $7 per lot on forex and metals.
  • Swap-free account configurations: $10 per lot on forex and metals.

Spreads, execution type and the liquidity provider behind the simulated feed are not documented at a level we can verify from the firm's own pages, so the live-cost side of the equation is best treated as unknown until the simulated spreads can be read on a live account.

Commission schedule published on the official model pages. Swap-free account configurations list $10 per lot on forex and metals.

Payouts, Profit Split and Scaling

The reward structure on the Master Account depends on the cycle the trader selects, and the documented cycles are:

  • 60% weekly
  • 80% bi-weekly
  • 90% on-demand, with a consistency rule on eligible programmes
  • 100% monthly

The split varies by programme family, and each one publishes its own menu of cycles on the Master Account:

  • 1 Step Flex Master Account: 85% bi-weekly or 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Standard Master Account: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on-demand or 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Pro Master Account: 80% weekly or 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Flex Master Account: 80% or 95% bi-weekly depending on the qualifying structure, with a 100% monthly option alongside.
  • FundingPips Zero: a single published option of 95% bi-weekly.

Reward requests are typically processed within 1 to 3 working days of approval. The purchase and reward methods documented on the official onboarding page include:

  • card (Visa and Mastercard)
  • cryptocurrency (USDT or USDC on ERC20)
  • Rise
  • bank transfer
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Neteller, Skrill and Paysafe Card
  • PayPal, with regional availability and possible payment-provider fees

The firm's own reward communications reference weekly, bi-weekly, on-demand and monthly cycles with programme-specific splits, and the help centre documents the approval-to-settlement window. Headline totals quoted on third-party review sites change frequently and we have not reproduced them here, so confirm current reward history and processing cadence against the firm's own disclosures before relying on either in a plan.

Programme fees are described as service fees in the firm's own terms, which means they are generally non-refundable except where consumer law requires otherwise. The official onboarding page documents one specific refund mechanism: on 2 Step Standard, the registration fee is refunded after the fourth Master Account reward. No equivalent registration-fee refund is advertised for the other four programmes, namely 1 Step Flex, 2 Step Pro, 2 Step Flex and FundingPips Zero. For a trader whose decision hinges on recovering the evaluation fee, 2 Step Standard is the only current programme that publishes a refund mechanism.

Scaling runs through the Prime pathway, advertised as a progression towards a $2,000,000 simulated allocation. Eligibility, the invitation route and the multiplier terms are set in the firm's own documentation, and the Master Account closes once a Prime Account opens on the published pathway. Treat Prime as a documented ambition with the catch attached, rather than as a guaranteed step after a given reward count.

Trader Experience and Support

The FundingPips dashboard is the firm's own proprietary interface and gives real-time visibility over trade history, open accounts and reward requests in one place. For a beginner, seeing the loss envelope on the Master Account in real time is useful, because it removes the guesswork around how close an account is to a breach under the current rulebook.

Support is offered through live chat and email, with no in-document commitment to published hours, response times or team size at a level we can verify from the firm's own pages, so timing-sensitive buyers should confirm those details with the firm before purchase. The firm operates from a Dubai base and the help centre is written in English, which points to an English-first support function.

Education sits in blog and help-centre content rather than in a structured course, a webinar programme or a formal mentoring track, so a trader looking for a walkthrough curriculum would likely be better served elsewhere. For a trader who already has an edge and simply wants a documented rulebook, a reward mechanism and a dashboard to run them on, the setup should prove adequate.

FundingPips vs The Competition

FundingPips sits in a crowded field of simulated-trading evaluation firms, each with its own hook. For context:

  • FTMO publishes a fee-refund mechanism tied to the first reward on its main programme.
  • The5ers runs a milestone-based scaling model.
  • FundedNext's Stellar 2-Step publishes its own fee-refund mechanism tied to the first performance reward.

Which competitor is the right benchmark for FundingPips depends on the rule a trader cares about most, whether that is fee-refund timing, reward-cycle flexibility, scaling multiplier, instrument range or news policy at the funded stage.

Reward-cycle flexibility is where FundingPips documents the widest range, with each programme family publishing its own menu on the Master Account:

  • 2 Step Standard Master Account: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on-demand or 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Pro Master Account: 80% weekly or 100% monthly.
  • 1 Step Flex Master Account: 85% bi-weekly or 100% monthly.
  • 2 Step Flex Master Account: 80% or 95% bi-weekly, with a 100% monthly option alongside.
  • FundingPips Zero: 95% bi-weekly on its own.

Clearing Up the Misinformation

Four claims circulate about FundingPips that deserve correction against the current help centre, and each is addressed below in turn.

The current catalogue has five programmes rather than three. Those families are 1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Pro, 2 Step Flex and FundingPips Zero, each feeding the shared Master Account stage (Zero has no evaluation and runs directly as a Master Account). Older write-ups that describe only a 2-Step Standard, a 2-Step Pro or a legacy Zero are reading an older snapshot of the catalogue.

News policy is set per stage and per programme, and is more permissive during evaluation than older write-ups suggest. During evaluation there are no news-trading restrictions, provided the trade is not a deliberate exploitation of the event. On the Master Account, profits from trades opened or closed inside the restricted window (five minutes before to five minutes after a high-impact event) may be deducted on eligible programmes, with a documented five-hour exception for trades opened earlier. FundingPips Zero carries stricter news windows and prohibits weekend holds outright.

Prime is a documented pathway rather than an automatic promotion. Eligibility, invitation criteria and multiplier terms sit in the firm's own documentation, and the Master Account closes once a Prime Account opens on the published pathway. Read the Prime terms before counting a Prime seat into a plan.

FundingPips does not support MT4. The supported platforms are MT5, cTrader and Match-Trader, with the FundingPips Trade Copier working across all three, so older write-ups listing TradeLocker or MT4 are out of date.

Conclusion

FundingPips suits a trader who wants a documented rulebook, several reward methods and a choice of reward cycles on the Master Account, and who is willing to read the current and legacy rulesets side by side before buying. The 2 Step Flex route into a Master Account on the bi-weekly cycle is a reasonable default for a trader who wants a predictable settlement window and a widely applicable reward split.

Look elsewhere if your workflow depends on MT4, if you need to hold through high-impact news on the Master Account without the deduction risk, or if you need a fee-refund mechanism that pays back on the first reward. The 30-day inactivity rule is a real risk if trading sits in cycles with long breaks, so build a minimum-activity routine from day one. Treat the Comoros licence disclosure as what it is, a self-disclosed registration, rather than as retail brokerage authorisation.

FundingPips is an evaluation firm with a documented rulebook, five current programmes and several reward cycles on the Master Account. Read the programme page for the account you want to buy, pick the reward cycle that matches your cash-flow needs, plan around the inactivity rule from the first day of trading, and verify every price at live checkout rather than from a review (this one included).

FundingPips live spreads

We stream FundingPips's pricing from a live evaluation account — the same feed a challenge trader is charged against, not a marketing figure. Spreads are a running cost on every trade, so on a tight profit target they decide how much of the move you actually keep. The history below shows whether they hold up through news and rollover.

Risk warning. CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. The vast majority of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs. Consider whether you understand how CFDs work and whether you can afford to take the high risk of losing your money.

This page is for general information only and is not investment advice or a solicitation. Spreads and rankings can change at any time and may differ from the pricing you receive when you open an account.

Frequently asked questions

Is FundingPips legit?
FundingPips has been operating as a simulated-trading evaluation provider since November 2022, with a documented help centre, a published rulebook per programme and five current programmes. It is not FCA-authorised, accounts are simulated and FundingPips Corp is disclosed as a Comoros-incorporated entity with International Brokerage and Clearing House licence Bfx2024004; that is the firm's own disclosure, not retail brokerage authorisation. Verify current terms on the firm's own help centre before buying.
How fast do you get paid?
Reward requests are typically processed within 1 to 3 working days of approval. The cycle depends on the programme: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 90% on-demand or 100% monthly on 2 Step Standard; 80% weekly or 100% monthly on 2 Step Pro; 85% bi-weekly or 100% monthly on 1 Step Flex; 80% or 95% bi-weekly plus 100% monthly on 2 Step Flex; and 95% bi-weekly on FundingPips Zero. Documented purchase and reward methods include card (Visa/Mastercard), cryptocurrency, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Neteller, Skrill, Paysafe Card, PayPal, Rise and bank transfer.
What drawdown model does each programme use?
1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Pro and 2 Step Flex all use a static (balance-based) overall loss: 12%, 10%, 6% and 12% respectively. FundingPips Zero uses a 5% trailing overall loss. Daily loss limits are 3% on 1 Step Flex, 5% on 2 Step Standard, 3% on 2 Step Pro, 4% on 2 Step Flex and 3% on FundingPips Zero.
Can you trade news on FundingPips?
During the evaluation, there are no news-trading restrictions, but deliberately exploiting a high-impact news event (purposeful news trading) is prohibited at every stage. On the Master Account, profits from trades opened or closed inside the restricted window — five minutes before to five minutes after a high-impact event — may be deducted on eligible programmes, with a documented five-hour exception for trades opened earlier. FundingPips Zero carries stricter news windows and prohibits weekend holds outright.
When is the challenge fee refunded?
The official onboarding page documents one specific refund mechanism: on 2 Step Standard, the registration fee is refunded after the fourth Master Account reward. The other four programmes (1 Step Flex, 2 Step Pro, 2 Step Flex and FundingPips Zero) do not carry an equivalent registration-fee refund. Programme fees are described as service fees in the firm's own terms and are generally non-refundable except where consumer law requires.
What happens if you stop trading for a month?
Accounts inactive for 30 or more days are terminated automatically, even if you are profitable. If you take extended breaks from trading, build a minimum-activity routine into your plan or you risk losing a funded account you have already earned.
